MICHAEL UCHENNA CHUKWU

Mr. Mike Chukwu(FCA,BSc, ACIT,HCIB,MNIM) is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Scintilla Limited. He served for five and half years as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer in two Nigerian Banks. He was until June 2007, the MD/CEO of Spring Bank plc. He was also appointed MD/CEO Guardian Express Bank in December 2001 and successfully led the Bank into a merger with 5 other Banks to form Spring Bank plc in December 2005. He emerged MD/CEO of the new, consolidated Bank.

Before commencing his banking career, Mr. Chukwu had trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the high-brow firm of Price Waterhouse, where for four years he was involved in multi-disciplinary assignments in consulting, auditing and taxation. He was the First Prize Award Winner in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Foundation examinations in November 1986, qualified as an Associate in 1988, and was admitted Fellow of the Institute in 1998.

Mr. Chukwu retired from banking in 2007 and is currently CEO of Assetswise Capital Limited, a Private Equity Firm and also serves on the Board of several Companies.

Scintilla is a leading events promotion and integrated Entertainment Company. The Company was incorporated as a Limited Liability Company, under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 29th of October 2007 and commenced operations on the 9th of October 2010.

The Company’s authorized share capital is Ten Million Naira (=N=10,000,000.00), comprising 10Million Ordinary shares of =N=1.00 each. However =N=500,000,000.00 in capital has been raised by the Company. The total Assets of the Company as at today is =N=1.2 billion. Scintilla is located at km 20 Lekki-Epe expressway, between Eleganza and Chevron estates.
